RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Rashi's research focuses on engineering novel platforms to advance the application of silencing RNAs as a therapeutic options for both cancer and cardiovascular disease. Currently, two platforms are being developed and optimized in parallel:

  1. A nanoparticle based delivery system utilizing a lipid core and exterior coating of a natural biopolymer to facilitate selective cell population uptake

  2. A polymer based layer-by-layer thin film assembly with embedded lipid nanoparticles for controllable substrate mediated drug and gene delivery
